Angelica Lightbourne won the coveted Miss Turks and Caicos Islands crown in 2007. During her reign, she trotted the globe as an ambassador for the Turks and Caicos Islands promoting the Islands with the Tourist Board. On the local scene, she worked towards increasing HIV/AIDS awareness and encouraging people to save the environment in order to maintain the Islands’ title “Beautiful By Nature”.
In 2008 Angelica produced and hosted her own a television youth program called “REAL TALK” where she educated while entertaining young people about issues affecting their lives. The program also gave the youths an opportunity to voice their opinions and concerns.
Angelica organizes numerous volunteer and community service programs as well, with the hope of making a difference in the Turks and Caicos community. Her philosophy in life is “You will never achieve what you never begin”.
Angelica represented the Turks and Caicos Islands at the 2008 Miss Universe pageant held in Vietnam.
